Well, when writing this, the weather has just started to show signs of spring after a miserable winter, but now we are plunged into coping with Covid-19.
We were very pleased that we could offer a full programme of interesting events through the region but we will have to postpone these until further notice. I hope we can still see the Norwich Castle Project Tapestries in September and our Sheepythings Christmas get together at the end of November. Young Quilters will also be suspended until September. We will keep you posted.
I fall, like so many of us, into the category of both older and underlying health conditions. I know of others who are not older but still fall into this category. It will be a difficult and trying time but please keep in touch and don’t feel abandoned or lonely. There is a Facebook page for both QGBI and one dedicated to Region 9.
We had a lovely day at Croxton with Cherry Vernon-Harcourt last week, ably assisted by Liz Nally. Liz has offered a talk and workshop and so has Mary McIntosh so 2021 is looking good already plus, hopefully, we can fit those events in that we are having to cancel this year.
Please look after yourselves and remain safe. Our enforced isolation can be used to advantage by finishing our UFOs and WIPs. On line shopping will still be available and it’s a golden opportunity to re-organise and use our stash.
Keep safe and I look forward to seeing you in September.
